Ronald was born on June 16, 1947 in Lafayette to the late George and Helen (Ruthsky) Howey. Ronald grew up in Newton before settling in Hampton 50 years ago. Though Ronald truly never retired and kept himself busy, he was a manager in the gasoline business for many years. Ronald was a passionate fisherman and enjoyed playing horseshoes. He was an avid Yankees fan and never missed watching a game. Ronald adored spending time with his canine companion, Bailey and cherished his quality time with his grandchildren.
The beloved husband to Linda Howey, Ronald is also survived by his children, William Howey, Rosalyn Howey and Kevin Howey and his wife, Christina; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Nicholas and Justin and his sister, Irene Hardick. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by 8 siblings.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. with a burial to follow at Newton Cemetery.
