Robert Lee Little was born in Lafayette on September 10, 1935 to the late William and Katherine (Caskey) Little. He was raised in Lafayette and spent most of his life there. A graduate from Newton High School, Robert earned 3 degrees from Rider University. He did post graduate studies at Jersey City University and American University and was awarded a Doctorate Degree in Education. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran, he proudly served in La Rochelle, France as an army specialist.
Prior to his retirement Robert was; a Lakeland Bank Branch Manager, a teacher and department chairman at Newton High School for 30 years. He taught Newton Adult School and was an adjunct instructor at Morris County College and Sussex County Community College. Robert was an active 4-H Club member and 4-H Leader for over 25 years. He attended the National 4-H Congress in Chicago, competed nationally, judging dairy cattle at Waterloo, Iowa.
Robert is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters; Mildred Henderson, Alice Hill, Roberta Polliak, Alfreda Henderson and his brothers Kenneth Little and Richard Little.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery in Hamburg.
