Linda was born in Jersey City, NJ, to Ralph M. and Michelina S. (Capone) Meola and raised in Fredon, NJ. She lived in Pennsylvania and Connecticut prior to moving to Utah in 2018. Linda received her bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her MBA in Global Business from the University of Phoenix. Her extensive career saw her hold positions in the fields of technology, marketing, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. She most recently worked as the Vice President of Client Services for Healogics.
Linda fiercely battled multiple breast cancers over the course of 23 years, working in tandem with medical professionals across the country in pursuit of a cure. Although she ultimately succumbed to the illness, she will forever be remembered for her relentless fighting spirit, endless courage and strength, and unwavering resilience. Throughout this difficult journey, Linda created a beautiful, remarkable life filled with unconditional love, joy, and appreciation.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Bob Townley; her sons, Jonathan and Shawn Borton; her mother, Michelina Meola; her brother, Ralph Meola and his wife, Terry; her brother, Joseph Meola; her sister, Brenda Frauenpreis; and many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Linda’s legacy lives on through the many lives she has touched, cared for, and guided.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ.
