Vivek Varughese

VIVEK VARUGHESE (February 7, 1977 – January 12, 2024)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vivek Varughese on January 12, 2024, in Porter Ranch, CA. At 46, Vivek succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Vivek was the cherished son of Bina and the late Dr. Joseph Varughese, and a loving brother to Tara. An IT Manager at Stowe Research International, Inc. in Pasadena, he played a vital role and was highly valued by his colleagues. Beyond his professional endeavors, Vivek was a true Renaissance man with a profound enthusiasm for science, art, classical music, and classic rock. A voracious reader, his thirst for knowledge spanned across numerous subjects ranging from astronomy to literature.

His greatest passion was going off the beaten path in his 1995 Toyota Landcruiser. He found serenity on mountain tops and on roads less traveled.

A true gentleman, Vivek exemplified kindness and compassion. His genuine love for family and friends touched the lives of those around him. His sudden passing has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts, and his memory will forever be etched in our minds.

A Celebration of Life for Vivek will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 10th at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321.
