Funeral services will be held 10 am Tuesday August 13th at Eternal Valley Memorial Park with the Pastor Dwayne of Higher Vision, officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
Richard Stephen Jeffrey was born Evanston, Illinois to Richard and Charlotte Jeffrey on June 13th 1946. He was a dedicated father and grandfather. He went to school at Canoga Park High School. Writing his book Rules of the Game - The Abc’s of Relationships in 1999 was a successful achievement. He owned and operated Back to the War Zone and was a proud veterans advocate for a total of 20 years. Richard “Tarzan” was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Marine Corps and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ #1, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Combat Action Ribbon and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He also received the Good Conduct Medal. He was proudly involved with the SCV memorial committee.
Richard Stephen Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Charlotte Jeffrey, brother Donald Jeffrey and sister Joanne Harris.
Richard Stephen Jeffrey is survived by his children; Alicia Montijo, Summer Hynes, Clayton Jeffrey, and grandchildren; Katherine, Ireland, Kuma, AJ, Jenna and Great-grandson Sawyer.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Jeffrey, Chad Jeffrey, Jeremy Jeffrey, Jonathan Harris, Kuma Hynes.
