Kenneth J. Krupp

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth (“Ken”) Joseph Krupp, a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who departed this world on August 5, 2023. Born on December 11, 1933 in St. Libory, IL, Ken led a life marked by dedication, perseverance, and a strong commitment to service and his family. After completing his early years of education, he enrolled in the Navy. A highlight of being in the Navy was Ken’s ability to see and travel the world through his service. After successfully completing his years of service in the Navy, he was discharged and pursued his passion for engineering. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Ken’s love for challenges and problem-solving led him to becoming a electrical engineer, where he worked for Peabody Coal until he retired. During his professional career, Ken was proud to have had the opportunity to work on a Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (B-52 Bomber). Ken spent the latter half of his life helping operate Architectural Metal Roofing Supply (AMRS) with his son, Eric Krupp. Ken took great enjoyment being at the shop and being a part of the AMRS team. Ken’s professional experience allowed him to be self-proficient when it came to fixing issues around the home, always having the ability to find the solution when problems arose. Beyond his professional achievements, Ken enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. Ken loved attending Cardinals games at Busch Stadium and watching Peyton Manning quarterback for the Colts. Ken also never missed his grandsons’ local sporting events, as he watched his grandsons’ compete in hundreds of baseball, basketball, and football games over the years. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carolyn (Strange) Krupp; son, Eric J. Krupp of Evansville; daughters, Kendra L. Parus and Nicole J. Wright both of Newburgh; grandchildren, Cameron Parus (Alexa), Jace Parus and Sawyer Wright; great grandchild, Parker Parus, and countless friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence, service, and a genuine love for life. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home – Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, Indiana. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Ken's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Home – Newburgh Chapel. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Kapperman Post #44 will perform military rites. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Honor Flights of Southern Indiana, P.O. Box 8234, Evansville, Indiana, 47716. One of Ken's favorite memories was the privilege to be a part of and experience an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Ken's memory will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, knowing his contributions to the Navy, the field of engineering, and his family have left an indelible mark on the world.
