Ralph M. Lewin, one of NYC's best photographers, died peacefully at home in Manhattan’s Upper West Side on July 4, 2024 at the age of 77.
Ralph had been chronically ill for many years. He was born in the Bronx, Ralph was an only child but his childhood was shared by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
After an enjoyable childhood spent with his large, extended family, Ralph attended Fashion Institute of Technology where he studied photography. Following graduation he began his career working for Camera 5 Agency in NYC. Branching out on his own he photographed many celebrities, musicians, sports heroes and actors.
Ralph was a very creative, knowledgeable and caring individual and a true raconteur. He will be missed by many.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 1 p.m. officiated by Cantor Ellen Tilem at Cedar Park Cemetery, Emerson, NJ.
