I just saw George's obituary today and wanted to express to you my deepest condolences. I am so grateful to have had two opportunities to meet with him--my fifth cousin--and one chance to meet with you and him here at my apartment. 
He was an accomplished, interesting, and moral man whom I greatly admired.

Although we never met in person, you have inspired and touched the lives of so many who had nowhere else to turn. Through your generous support of Chive Charities, your legacy will live on for years. I did not know of your passing.I am so sorry.
Your last text was, “the doctors told me this will be my last Holidays”. I was hoping and praying for more.
I dreamt of you just now. I felt your presence. It was so real.

To my best friend George, I will never forget you.  You have always been there for me and for that I am grateful.  For 58 years it’s been a blast.  Your family came to mine at age four for a puppy (Queenie) when you Dad and mine worked together.  Then our family moved to your town and we were reunited in little league baseball.  A lifetime friendship followed.  Here are a few memories; Seaside Heights, Luzzis pizzeria, Tom’s River holidays, numerous Georgetown visits, long phone calls, trips to NY, summers in Succasunna and so much more.  You are more than a brother to me and it has been an honor and privilege to be your friend.  Your very proud parents await with open arms.  May God rest your soul.

I knew you for 32 years, and although we only met once in person, I looked forward to every phone call, letter, card and email. You always made me laugh, smile and of course get angry with your stubbornness. 

I wonder sometimes why you only meet a person once in life in person. Time moves so fast and we are always so busy, and we always think we have tomorrow. 

My George in New York , you lived a very accomplished life but you worked way too hard ie Never taking holidays and always busy and for that I’m sad that there will never be tomorrow. I will miss you greatly and New York will always remind me of you.

But now that your soul is free you can see South Africa. And now you know, it is not as crazy and wild as you believed. You would have liked it. 

And so I say, good journey Georgeous, till  we meet again, because you are still with us just not in person.

I am so sorry for your loss.  My prayers go out  to you and your family.  You have been in my thoughts during this difficult time.

I only met George once , however  I learned longtime ago that he had an IQ  of more than 160,  He was an exceptionally gifted  human being, a genius who had shined  the world with his wisdom and love in so many ways.

A great soul never dies. May you find solace in loving memories, and  find peace and strength to go on in life !

I met George at a Georgetown alumni event. Shortly thereafter I began interviewing on behalf of the alumni admissions program. George was the one to elevate me to Chairman of my own committee, a role I had for many years before passing it along to Jamie Gelbtuch. I'm very thankful for George's support, praise and guidance through the years. He was a kind, generous, thoughtful and brilliant man. I feel lucky and even honored to have been his friend. Almost 17 years to the day, our paths first crossed when George represented me in a case, marking the beginning of a lasting connection.

Despite only keeping in touch sporadically over the years, I am grateful that, in the last three months, we connected daily through texts until his final days. His kindness and unwavering friendship will forever resonate in our hearts. Along with the weight I gained from all the cookies he sent us:)

His departure from this world came too soon, and the reasons remain incomprehensible. During our conversations, we often found comfort in light-hearted banter about his envisioned next journey—a grand deposition party in the sky. Perhaps now, he is joyfully reuniting with his Mother and our mutual friend Erin.

Our deepest condolences to George's family, friends and colleagues.  We too counted George as a friend since our freshman year together at Georgetown.  He was a person of great intellect, insight and generosity coupled with a unique sense of humor.  His tremendous devotion to the legal profession and his alma mater were truly impressive.  We will always cherish our memories of George over the many years of our friendship.

The world has lost a brilliant mind and a loyal friend.   George was the best.   George was my friend for nearly 50 years and that was not enough.

George was a dear and great friend. We knew each other since our first year at Georgetown, where we lived in the same dorm. I will miss especially his phenomenally dry sense of humor and generosity of spirit. It is difficult to find the right words to express my sense of loss. I offer my heartfelt condolences to all of George's family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Although this is a tremendous loss, at least he is not suffering any more. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear the news!  George was a loyal HOYA - I will miss our conversations about how alumni can make an impact on current and future students.  I feel blessed and proud to have known you all these years.  Rest in Peace! HOYA SAXA!!

Our condolences to a great cousin, our hearts go out to his friends and family in this difficult time. He will be greatly missed. I will fondly remember the great times we had together in our youth.

What a tragic loss!   He was so young and he so wanted to help others, especially at Georgetown.
I can still remember George as an active and contributing member of the Georgetown Alumni Admissions chairmen's group and Advisory Board.  He always had the time to attend our meetings and was an active participant in giving ideas and suggestions, always with the intent of making the process better.  And he had such a gracious way of participating.
We will miss him and his always seeming to be with us.

It was never more vibrant than that day.  This view is looking from the Garden State to the Empire State, fitting for George.  
The message is clear:   All is well. I am in a good place.

 You, Tina and I Always had Great Summers at the Jersey Shore, the rides, playing the games or just hanging on the Beach. You & Your Comic Books, Your Mom always hide your favorite Dunkin Donuts until you woke up. I have Wonderful Memories of Hanging Out with You at Your House. My Mom would meet your Dad after work at the Korvettes parking lot in Hanover Park to get me so I could spend weeks with you over the Summer or School Break. Our Many Trips like to Washington DC or West Pointe along with many other places that your Parents would take Us! 
Well My Beloved Cousin, I’m sure You will be Greeted with Much Love at the Pearly Gates by God & Especially by Your Mother & Father who Loved You Dearly.

Such sad and awful news.  I will miss our calls and emails through the years since we both left the Weil, Gotshal & Manges law firm in Manhattan and especially his humor, warmth and kindness, and deep interest in the world and in life beyond the practice of law.  
We all laughed a lot and often back then, through all the very long hours.  I can close my eyes and still remember seeing him walking somewhat disheveled toward the departure gate for one of the dozens of flights to and from Dallas, with his broken rolling luggage trailing behind him and clothes, books and magazines tumbling out, seemingly without a care in the world, as the door to the jet bridge was about to close, the British Airways Concorde flights to and from London, the many Amtrak trips to and from Philadelphia, the stories everyone shared about Dennis Block, Ira Millstein and others and the many, many late work nights in New York and Dallas, made more tolerable by a lot of excellent food and a few (okay more than several) beers and tequila shots, and the many places we went after work was done for the night (the shenanigans in Manhattan and Dallas were infamous, thankfully).  And the Jello Shots, the many, many Jello Shots (he now and again forgot to tell us that his famous Jello Shots included grain alcohol, ugh!)!  RIP my friend ...

There was much loss of life after Hurricane Katrina hit my hometown of New Orleans. George made a gift to help restore the landscape of City Park on behalf of my mother who was in the Superdome during the aftermath of the storm.  He sent me a map to find the tree they planted with his donation. I visited it a number of times over the years and sent him this photo of his tree in the final months of his life to show him that it was still there, a testament to his generosity and kindness. I will continue to visit it in the years to come and think of George. Much love and healing to all who knew and loved George.

Was nice knowing you, thank you for being a lovely soul mate who i could walk with for 2 decades of my life. Shine bright in the sky, till we meet some day on the other side.
