Cesar Luis Rodriguez, 78, passed away on December 8, 2023 in New York, NY. He was born in Havana, Cuba but spent most of his life as a New Yorker. His zest for life, love of his family, and his passion for the arts left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He was a loving brother, devoted father, adoring grandfather, doting uncle, caring godfather, and amazing friend. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Cesar is survived by his daughter, Alana Alexander, and his grandchildren, Logan, Ava, Vivian, and William Alexander. He is also survived by his siblings, Laura Damas, Esther Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez, and Olga Lastra. Cesar was preceded in death by his mother, Olga Rodriguez, his father, Cesar Rodriguez, and his siblings, Robert Rodriguez and Raul Rodriguez.
Known for his vibrant personality, Cesar was a source of happiness to all who crossed his path. His laughter was contagious, and his positive outlook on life was a guiding light for those around him. Whether it was through his charming anecdotes, his love for Broadway, or his never-ending smile, he made the world a brighter place.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17th, from 2pm to 6pm at Frank E Campbell Funeral Chapel, located at 1076 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10028.
A Mass will be held on Monday, December 18th, at 10am at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Lady Chapel, located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets, New York, NY 10022.
The funeral will follow at Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum, located at 770 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032.
