Born in Campobasso, Italy on July 1, 1953, Carmine immigrated to the United States at the age of five, proudly becoming a United States citizen in 2020.
He grew up in Corona, Queens later moving to the Upper East Side where he lived for over twenty years.
On Good Friday in 1985, Carmine founded Malatesta Paladino, Inc., a successful concrete and masonry contractor in the New York City area. To this day, his company’s work is showcased at some of New York’s most prominent real estate including the Empire State Building, ABC and JFK International Airport.
Carmine is survived by his wife Fay, daughter Marlena, son-in law Simon and granddaughter Fay Harper.
He is beloved by his mother Dolores, sisters Antoinette and Flavia, brother Frank, nephew Michael and niece Anne Marie.Loved by everyone who knew him, Carmine took great pride in his family and enjoyed a life with many fond memories including travel, food and music.
Viewing will be held at the Frank E. Campbell Chapel on December 13, 2022 at 3:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Monica’s RC Church on December 14 at 11:00 am followed by interment at The Green-Wood Cemetery.
