Ann Patricia Levy Eliasoph Klein (born June 3, 1931) died peacefully in her sleep on December 7, 2024. Born in New York, Ann graduated from Vassar College and later taught pre-school at Central Synagogue. Ann’s joy for life shined through every moment of her own, including lunches, phone dates, trips, and cruises with her many dear lifelong friends, shopping for all things pink, and celebrations with family she adored. Ann embodied the saying that she never met a stranger: From waiters, medical providers, taxi drivers, and her buildings’ staff to many deep friendships that began in girlhood, Ann cared about everyone she came across. She was so grateful to her loving caregivers later in life.
With first husband Dr. Ira Eliasoph, she shares four beloved children: Jeffrey Eliasoph, Laura Acocella (the late Nick Acocella), Diane Sherman (Thomas), and Pamela Francis (Bob). Ann flourished as a fun and caring grandmother to Vivien Eliasoph Judson (Scott), Francesca Acocella (Alex Almada), Ben Sherman (Kaitlyn), Hannah Eliasoph, and Bob Sherman. Ann found exceptional pleasure in her new role as great grandmother to Jack Judson.
Ann is predeceased by her second husband Albert Klein and her parents Robert J. Levy and Rebecca Schwartz Levy.
A memorial service will be held at Frank E. Campbell on Sunday, December 15 at 12 noon.
