Ruby Bailey

Ruby Hazel Ferguson Bailey, age 98 of Tazewell, was born February 8, 1925 and passed away peacefully at her home on August 3, 2023. Ruby was saved and was a member of Tazewell Baptist Church. She retired from the Claiborne County Board of Education after 20 years, as a secretary for the Special Education Department. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard A. Bailey and son Jim Bailey. Parents Marion J. and Lennie Rosenbalm Ferguson. Brothers James and Kenneth Ferguson. sisters Marion and Ruth Ferguson and Berylene Campbell. She is survived by her loving daughter Mary Ruth Bailey of Tazewell. Sister-in-law Pauline Ferguson of Halls. Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday August 8th from 1-3pm at the Coffey Funeral Home chapel in New Tazewell, with Funeral Service to follow at 3pm,conducted by Pastor Parker Epperson, songs by Leah and Bob Holmes, Interment in the Sycamore Campbell Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ken Ferguson, Bill Bull, Brandon Bull, Bob holmes , Bob Wells, Domingo Ruiz.
