Sadly, on July 16th, 2022, she passed into the Gardens of Eden. She is proceeded in death by her father Eugene Cook (Papa), mother Ona Mae Cook (Nanny), brothers Joseph and Rodney Cook, and her only son, Eugene Littleton “Chaz” Scott. Survived by her husband Clifford Woods, Jr., sisters Cathy Ealey (Clint) and Angela Fuqua (Dirk), her daughter Michelle Bernal (Christian), Grandchildren Elizabeth Helton (Lillie), Joseph Alberico (Elizabeth) and her dearest and closest friend Julia Pullens.
Marion lived life unapologetically on her own terms. She was incredibly beautiful, vivacious, witty, and intelligent. She adored pretty clothes, flowers, Nina Ricci perfume, and all things sparkly. Her most favorite thing in the world was butterflies. She could grow almost anything and named every plant she ever tended. She could fix just about anything, was an amazing cook, and would help anyone who needed it.
She was wild and untamable; free of the constraints that define the norm. When she loved you, she loved you as fiercely as the lion she was, or as softly as the kitten she could be. To be in her presence was a gift. Looking into her eyes was like falling into the bluest of skies. She loved us all, unconditionally without judgement.
Wife, mother, sister, Granna, Auntie, Tete, and friend; to be held in her love was like being wrapped in warmth and light.
You finally got your wings….
We carry you with us always; as you touched each of us in our heart in your own special way. Till we meet again, we will forever love and miss you as fiercely as you loved us all.
