Kieven Parks, born on April 18, 1955, in New Tazewell, Tennessee passed away October 30, 2024. Kieven was known for his strong work ethic, and the love he shared with those closest to him. He was a talented carpenter and a lover of history and science. He worked in the Nuclear Technology field for 20 years. He was an avid reader and loved being on his farm. He was a Sunday school teacher in his younger days and maintained a dedication to his faith.
Kieven was preceded in death by his parents, David Parks and Arilla Stokes Parks.
He is survived by his children, Jason Parks and Heather Parks, grandchildren, Joseph Hickman and Hunter Parks, great-grandson Morrison; his brothers, Larry Parks, Randall Parks, Martin Parks, Shane Parks, and Travis Parks; his sisters, Avannah Bryant, Pamela Jines, and Sherry Parks. Special cousin, Lawrence “Junebug” Lynch and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In accordance with Kieven’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Instead, his family encourages those who knew him to honor his memory through acts of kindness and service to others. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
