Anna "Ann" Mae McNew

Anna "Ann" Mae McNew, age 88, of Tazewell, TN was born July 15, 1933 and passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was a devoted housewife and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ann was a member of Springdale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Jane Barnes; husband Ronald "Burr" McNew; brother Roy Barnes; sisters Ruby Lane, Una V "Tish" Edney, June Bolden, and Bennie Mae Barnes; special nephew John L "Vern L" Barnes; special niece Carolyn Williams; brothers-in-law Clarence McNew and Donald McNew.

Ann was survived by son David McNew and wife Vatanda. Granddaughter Jodi Ann Shockley and husband Derrick. Great granddaughters Padget Shockley and Carson Shockley. Nephews Don Lane, Ellis Lane, and Michael Edney. Niece Sandy Steadman. Special great nephew Billy Barnes and wife Lisa. Great great nephew John Barnes. As well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 17, 2022 from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 11 AM in the Reece Cemetery on Tower Rd.
