It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Sean. Sean Robert Doty, 14 years young, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022, surrounded by his family. Sean was born on September 24, 2007.
Sean loved so many and was loved by so many more. He had an energy that with even just one encounter with him, you would remember him for life. If you knew him well or barely at all, he always left you smiling. He brightened days for the better with his big brown eyes, warm and beautiful smile, and awesome sense of humor. He was a warm, caring, one-of-a-kind young man.
Sean was in the seventh grade and attended Seven Springs Middle School. He had a love of fishing, gaming, hanging out with his best friends, classic rock music, and a passion for food. If you met him, he probably asked you what you had planned on having for dinner that night.
Sean was preceded in death by his father Robert Doty, but leaves behind his loving mother, Kimberly Doty, and his best friend and sister, Megan Doty. Also surviving are his grandparents, Patricia and Richard Nelson, Frank and Teri Burgos, Sharon Hooper and Robert Doty; his great-grandmother, Rachel Diperi; his aunts and uncles, Robin Burgos, Jonathan and Mindy Nelson, Richard and Jennifer Nelson, Michael Burgos, and Kathy and Bill Lodes; and his cousins, Benjamin, Leo, RJ, River, Evan, Collin, and Emily.
Sean’s service and interment will be held privately, with only immediate family in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sean’s name to either St. Jude’s Children's Hospital or a cerebral palsy non-profit, like The Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.northmeadowlawnfuneral.com for the Doty family.
