Magdalena Maglasang Galo Gall

Magdalena Maglasang Galo Gall (Maggie) age 68, widow of Air Force veteran Jeffery J. Gall, passed away 26 September 2017 at her home. Her daughter Margarieta Amor Gellman and her beloved friend Claire Emerson were present. She lost a lengthy battle with renal failure caused by her chronic diabetes. Maggie is survived by Margarieta Amor Gellman, her husband Brian Gellman of Pinehurst NC, her son Charles Alexander Karasz, his wife Karen Karasz and her grandson John Alexander Karasz of Rexford NY, her sister Maura Tapalla of Louisville KY and numerous family and friends in the US and the Philippines.

Maggie was born in Seguinon, Albuera, Leyte Philippines, daughter of Pio Galo and Bonifacia Maglasang Galo. She was one of 19 children. Maggie was baptized 2 January 1949 at the Parish of St. James Apostle, RC in Albuera, Leyte. She was sponsored by Edelberto Tudio.

Charles Gregory Karasz PO4, of the US Coast Guard, petitioned the government for his fiancé to come to the United States. Maggie left Alongapo PI and arrived in New York on 14 December of 1973. The couple then married on 23 February 1974 in West Hempstead, NY. They started their family with their daughter Margarieta Amor Karasz-Gellman followed by a son, Charles Alexander Karasz 3 years later. Charles Gregory Karasz has since passed away on 11 October 2016.

Maggie moved from New York to Tacoma Washington where she was determined to become a US citizen. She applied for her petition for US Citizenship in 1982. In 1983 she earned her GED from the state of Washington. On 10 January 1984 she became a US citizen.

Maggie met and married Jeffery J. Gall a veteran of the Air Force in his hometown, Elyria Ohio on 30 December 1987. They moved to New Port Richey Florida and lived there until Jeffery's death 7 June 2005.

Maggie then moved to Holiday Florida and joined the Grace Harvest Church of God. There she became a much loved member of the congregation who helped care for others, always in a loving and compassionate way.

The funeral services will be held at the Meadownlawn Funeral home in Holiday Florida on Saturday 30 September 2017. Pastor David Horton of the Grace Harvest Church of God will officiate the funeral service. At the request of the family, Dareda Mueller will perform Maggie's favorite song "Because He Lives" during the ceremony. Pall bearers for the procession to the moseleum are as follows: Reverand Brice Bakker, Jerry Raymond, Reverand Robert Mueller, Vince Scorca, Michael Scorca Jr., and Chris Scorca. Viewing will held from noon-2 followed by funeral services and the entombment.
