James (Jim) Joseph Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lloyd (Greco), in March of 1995. His long-time companion, Gina DeBernardo, also preceded him in death in 2012. The family is grateful to Patricia Parsons for her love and care in the last few years of his life.
Jim grew up in Cumbola, PA, graduating from Blythe Township High school in 1948 where he lettered in football and basketball. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1953, Jim lived most of his life in Levittown, PA. He and his wife Jean were original Levittown, PA homeowners. Beginning in 1954, Jim worked at the 3M manufacturing plant in Bristol, PA until his retirement in the late 1980’s. In the early 1990’s Jim moved to Florida where he remained until his passing. Jim is survived by his three children: Cynthia Ashwell (the late Irv); Karen Scott (Dave); Glen Lloyd (Tina); 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jim was a Philadelphia sports fan and an Eagles fan in particular, holding season tickets in the early 80s. He proudly displayed his Eagles flag, banners and bumper stickers after the Eagles 2018 Super Bowl victory. In the late 70s Jim was an active Board member of Levittown International Little League. You would often find him before and after work seeding and fertilizing the baseball fields for district payoffs and tournaments. The grass was always greener at the baseball field. Playing golf, Jim was known for his straight drives, solid chipping game and making the putts when money was on the line. Jim brought that active social life to Florida, participating in multiple golf leagues and frequenting the local VFW and Fraternal Order of the Eagles clubs to dance and socialize.
