She was raised in Boyne City, Michigan by her father and mother, Rueben & Freida Wangberg. She graduated from Boyne City High School and was the top five in her class. She excelled in accounting and business management in many locations throughout her life.
Carol and Richard were lifelong friends. They met at church in early grade school. He saw her from across the room and knew she was the one for him. At ten years old, they had a backyard mock wedding to declare their love. They got married in their early twenties and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. Richard will always remember her by her snappy, green eyes.
She relocated to Florida in 1979. Living in Largo, Tarpon Springs, and then Palm Harbor. Carol was employed by FK Instrument Co, where she was a vital role for many years. She made sure the job was always done, and that it was done right. Around the office, she was known by fellow coworkers as the appointed therapist because of her open ears and encouraging heart.
While living in Florida, she attended First Assembly of God Clearwater, First Assembly of God Tarpon Springs, and was currently a regular attender of Calvary Chapel Worship Center; it was easy to see her Christian faith in everything she did.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, planning events, shopping, and exploring new restaurants. She was known for her impeccable taste in clothing, shoes, and jewelry that always matched, as well as her organizational skills, positivity, punctuality, generosity, and loving heart.
