Warren John Hatcher passed into Jesus’ arms on Friday the 23rd of August, surrounded by his loving parents, sister, family, and friends. Warren was born in New Orleans on March 10th, 2022, the son of Anne and Austin Hatcher. His big sister, Lilli, welcomed him with hugs and kisses. Lilli and Warren (“Bubbee” at home to his family) enjoyed their time together playing and cuddling under the covers to watch Wallace & Gromit and all of the great Disney classics, like his favorite, 101 Dalmatians.
Warren spun sunshine. Warren’s brand of life was built with love, happiness, and joy. His smile, laughter, abundant hugs, snuggles and kisses warmed the hearts of everyone who fell under his spell. Warren exuded energy and was full of life and love. Seeking out mud to play in and finding new sticks in the yard to play with instead of all his toys were his favorite playtimes. His favorite things above all were a big ‘BABA’ (bottle) of whole milk he would love to tote around with him and to hop up in your lap and cuddle with you while he drank. He was loved by his dogs, Onyx and Beaux, and cat, Luna. Warren was full of exuberance and playing with Dad and Lilli in the backyard was his version of pure joy. Warren found his greatest happiness and love being in his mother’s arms to cuddle and shower her with the biggest kisses. Warren bounded into our lives and hearts and left us much too soon. Warren will always be remembered and cherished by those who were fortunate to have held him in their arms.
Warren is survived by his parents; sister, Lillianne; grandparents, Steve and Regina Hatcher, Holly Hatcher, Richard and Mary Alice Rathe, Pamela Rathe; his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, Kait and Ben Capella, family friends, wonderful neighbors and his classmates at Cedarwood.
Warren became an Organ Donor Hero at Children’s Hospital. If your heart leads you to honor Warren, please donate to Children’s Hospital of New Orleans PICU and LOPA. Warren’s family will be forever grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff who so lovingly cared for him as one of their own.
