Vancy Louise Beck Walters, a retired Administrative Assistant passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born in New Orleans, LA on December 6, 1946 and was a resident of River Ridge, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Andreas Beck and Vancy Montalbano Beck.
Vancy graduated from Fortier High School and Soulé Business College. She enjoyed reading, sewing, dancing, playing piano, going to the movies and spending quality time with her family.
Vancy is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Milton Edward Walters; her loving daughters, Katherine Walters Loyacano (Barry) and Rachel Walters Killian (Lee); her brother, Robert J. Beck (Mary) and her adorable grandchildren, Barry N. Loyacano, Jr., Andrew J. Loyacano and Emma K. Killian.
The family would especially like to thank the Neurologists and the Neuro ICU Team at Ochsner who took care of Vancy during her illness. A special thanks to the Hospice Care team at Ochsner and Hospice Care Team at Compassus for all their loving care and support.
A private burial for the immediate family was held at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
A Celebration of Vancy’s Life will be held at a later date.
