Toni Ann Jaeger Causin passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her parents Philip F. Jaeger Sr. and Sylvia D’Gerolamo Jaeger. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 ½ years, Thomas “Tommy / Tom” Clifton Causin Jr., her sons Thomas “Trey” Clifton Causin III (Sara) and Philip Anthony Causin (Lisa), brother Philip “Flip” Jaeger Jr. (Debbie), Sister-in-law Elizabeth LeGlue, maternal aunt Irene LeBlanc, her beloved grandchildren Jackson, Jaeger and Jolie Causin and Ashlyn, Andrew, Walle, and Josh Causin and numerous nieces and nephews. A native of New Orleans, Toni was a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, serving as scholarship chairman. She worked for 33 years as banker, retiring as an Assistant Vice President of Fidelity Homestead after enjoying 22 years as an Assistant Vice President and a branch manager of Jefferson Savings & Loan and Iberia Bank in Gretna. Dear to her heart was St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, where she served as an Usher, Treasurer of the Rosary Altar Society, and an officer in the SCS Women’s Club. A proud mother of two Brother Martin Crusaders, Toni and Tommy were chair-couple of the Brother Martin Fair for 5 years and Toni was an active member of the Ladies of the Shield. She was a co-founder of the Greater New Orleans Texas A&M Aggie Moms’ Club, serving as President and Treasurer for 7 years. Toni was also a member of the West Bank Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and active in the Delta Gamma New Orleans Alumnae Chapter, serving as Vice President and Treasurer. The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Theodore Borgman, Dr. Leonard Glade, and Dr. Salvador Caputto for their years of care. In addition, they would like to thank Notre Dame Hospice, Southeast Louisiana Home Health, and especially, Lydia, Anthony, Caroline, and Lindsay, for their compassion and care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 12:00pm. Visitation beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. Aloysius Century Foundation, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, or the American Cancer Society.
