Thomas is survived by his wife of 64 years, Diana Matherne LeBlanc; their children, Desireé Hymel (Timmy), Dwayne Thomas LeBlanc (Cathy), Colette Tatum (Gregg), Stephanie Clark (Wayne), Celeste Fox (Greg) and Jeanne LeBlanc (Jeremy); grandchildren, Alicia Marren (Mike), Monique Funk (Chris), Lauren Haydel (Ryan), Arianne Whittaker (Paul), Christopher Johnson (Ashley), Stephen Johnson, Matthew Tatum (Nicole), Patrick Tatum (Stephanie), Jared Clark (Desra) Brandon Clark, Timothy LeBlanc, Jr., Blaine LeBlanc, Stacey Halphen (Andrew), Sebastian Alcock and Mabel Alcock; step-grandchildren, Johnny and Gregory Fox, Jarrett Oliveri, Jeanne Relayson and Brandi Lynn Najolia; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Leta Faye Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Paul LeBlanc, Sr.; his father and mother Albert LeBlanc and Laura Jumonville LeBlanc; brothers, Donald LeBlanc, Albert LeBlanc, Alvin LeBlanc, Lynwood LeBlanc, Merrill LeBlanc; and his sisters, Alberta Farrell and Beverly Tarantolo.
The family wishes to thank his loyal caregivers, Mikeshia, Paula, Lorenza and Chaunaie.
A man of many talents and a member of many social organizations, Thomas was a Former City Councilman for the City of Kenner, an agent with State Farm Insurance for over 35 years and employed at Shell Chemical for more than 10 years. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, both St. Jerome and Stoulig Councils.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass held in the chapel at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, L A 70124 on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the Mass. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
