Ronald B. Keever died September 5, 2018. He was 76 years old. No one who met Ron ever forgot his infectious smile or that devilish twinkle in his eye. Described by his friends as a rascal, a pistol and a "Bon Vivant." He was handsome, a great dancer, a jokester and most of all he loved being around friends and acquaintances. Children too where drawn to his appealing charm. He was a Mr. Fixit and he would always be there to assist you with a problem.
His passion was sharp cars and hot Harley Davidson motorcycles (he suffered the loss of his after Katrina). He was a snappy dresser and was weak for great shoes!
For pleasure he enjoyed a well made Hendricks' Martini or a Margarita on a hot day. Dining out with friends was a ritual. He liked country music and good barbeque, gardening with his wife was a big part of his life. He and his wife, Regina shared so many memories and stories of their three decades of travel. Italy was at the top of his list.
Ron adored his God and cherished his Church.
In 1984 he married Regina Keever. Five years later along with Ron's help and support, she opened Bayona restaurant.
Ron is survived by his wife, Regina of New Orleans; two daughters, Rhonda Hays (Harold) and Cindy Hajduk (Andy) and four grandchildren, of Atlanta; two step sons, Michael Mauberret (Laurie) and Andre Mauberret of New Orleans; and his brother, Larry Keever (Betty).He is preceded in death by his sister, Gerrie Ritchie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 724 Camp Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130. A graveside service will follow mass at Metairie Cemetery.
