Robin Elizabeth Corte Schultz

Robin Schultz, age 61, died peacefully on July 26, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Robin was a life-long resident of New Orleans, LA. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Betty Jane (B.J.) Paré Corte. She was the loving daughter of Joseph E. Corte and stepdaughter of Carole L. Corte. She is survived by her husband Oliver “Chip” Schultz and her children Madison Schultz Choi and Joon Choi, Payden Schultz, Adelaide Schultz, and Quinlyn Schultz. She was the sister of Teri Corte, Joseph K. Corte and Ashley H. Corte, and Stephanie Corte LeBon and Michael LeBon. She also leaves behind her niece, Isabella LeBon, and nephews Ethan LeBon, Conner Corte, and Gavin Corte as well as her many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robin graduated from St. James Major High School in 1980 and Louisiana State University: School of Allied Health Professions in 1987. She had a distinguished career as a licensed physical therapist, most recently at University Medical Center. Robin was happiest when surrounded by family. This was the most important part of life to her. She loved family gatherings, especially weddings so she could have her favorite kind of cake and dance with her husband. Her special place was Rescue Ranch where she got to ride, train and take care of her horse, Blaze. She frequently exercised and loved going to her Pilates classes. Her family and friends will always remember her deep, heartfelt laugh. Most of the time that laugh was generated by her dearest friends. She will be greatly missed by many. Sincere gratitude to the nurses, doctors and all hospital staff who took such great care of her at Tulane Medical Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center as well as her amazing and generous family members in Houston, TX, specifically, Maggie Olinde and Kevin and Lauren Hughes.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 3 at St. Pius X located at 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation begins at 10am followed by a Catholic Mass at 12pm which will be officiated by dear family friend Father Patrick Williams.
