He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Quealy Reinhardt and his father, Robert “Bob” Reinhardt Sr. He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Richard L. Reinhardt and Ronald D. Reinhardt. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Randall Reinhardt, Elizabeth Reinhardt Delsa, Jonathan Reinhardt, Gregory Reinhardt, and Dr. Karen Reinhardt Kern, and was preceded in death by his nephew, David Reinhardt.
Bob lived most of his life in the Greater New Orleans Area before moving to LaPlace in the last year. His work experiences were varied as he was not afraid to take on new challenges. In his earlier years, he focused on computer programming and operations. Later, he switched to working in stables for a carriage tour company. Ready for another change, he began managing and maintaining apartments, then branched out to managing a commercial cleaning service.
As his health continued to decline and his ability for physical labor diminished, his focus on his Catholic faith was ignited. He attended daily Mass on a regular basis and took an active role in supporting activities such as the Knights of Columbus. He regularly handed out bibles and religious booklets in the nursing home and elsewhere.
While in the ICU, Bob received the Sacraments of Healing: Reconciliation and the Anointing of the Sick. As a practicing Catholic, these sacraments were considered the greatest gift Bob could receive. The family appreciates the dedication of the hospital chaplain and the parish priest in looking after Bob’s spiritual health.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 9 AM. Graveside services will be held privately at a later date.
