He helped his son climb to the rank of Eagle Scout as well as assisted countless boys throughout their ranks. He lived a long and happy life full of adventures, telling stories and jokes. He loved to play Santa’s helper even when it was not Christmas time. Always counting the days for when to start growing the santa beard.
Fishing was an important part of his life. Whether it was at a very small pond somewhere in the wilderness or in the Gulf of Mexico, he was always prepared with a fishing rod.
During his retirement, Paul and Nancy traveled in their 40 foot home on wheels and went to the lower 48 states including Route 66 from start to finish. They explored the United States from coast to coast and top to bottom. They cruised to Alaska where they experienced some amazing views and have some great memories. He took advantage of every fishing hole he encountered along the way.
One of his many joys were his five grandchildren. He loved spoiling them with cookies and treats during their epic secret adventures. Always getting aggravated with their shenanigans but loving every minute of it.
