Olivia Martha Russo

Olivia Martha Russo passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 83. Olivia was born in New Orleans, on August 24, 1937. She is preceded in death by her parents Bartholomew A. Russo and Yvonne Jourdan Russo along with her brother Richard B Russo and her great-nephew Richard Kyle Russo. She was the loving Nanny of her 3 nieces Gizelle Russo Muhoberac (David), Michelle Russo Ryan (Michael) and Kristi Russo Cummings (Steven) and great nephews Matthew Ryan (Kate), Marc Ryan (Ashley), and Nathaniel Cummings, her great nieces Megan Ryan Dussouy (Spencer) and Caroline Cummings. Also survived by her great-great niece Krista Russo and great-great nephews Lee Ryan, Cole Ryan, Lane Ryan and Joseph Dussouy. Also survived by her sister-in-law Lucy D’Angelo. Olivia was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and was employed by Shell Oil Company where she retired after 40 years. She was a past queen of the Krewe of Okeanos. She loved casinos, playing cards, bingo and bunco with her cousin Ann Colletti and numerous family and friends. Olivia also enjoyed crocheting baby blankets and cooking many meals for family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 11:00A.M. followed by a mass at 1:00P.M. Interment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
