Mrs. Mary Ellen Durning Comiskey

Mary Ellen Durning Comiskey passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the age of 83. She was a native of New Orleans, LA. Beloved wife of the late Honorable Lawrence A. Comiskey, Jr. She was a loving mother, survived by her 4 children: Lawrence A. Comiskey, III, Kerry J. Comiskey, Constance M. Comiskey and Ellen Comiskey Perrier and her husband, Dominique. Daughter of the late Joseph A. and Hazel Joint Durning. Sister of Justin J. Durning (his wife, Jeanne), Jane Durning Faia, Bruce Durning and Joseph “Jay” Durning. “Grammy” is also survived by her 2 loved and adored grandchildren, Elise A. Comiskey and Lawrence A. Comiskey, IV. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. Mary Ellen graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
