Born in New Orleans, Marilyn attended F. T. Nichols High School and retired from the City of Kenner, Department of Community Service. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, St. Clare Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the Lions Club International. She enjoyed ceramics and spending time with family and friends on the water in Bay St. Louis and Little Woods. Marilyn will be dearly missed and forever adored.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Willis J. Boye; parents William E. Boesch, Sr. and Frances Michelet Boesch; son Greg W. Boye; sisters Anna Mae Dunne and Edith McCarthy; and brother William E. Boesch, Jr. She is survived by sons Gary J. Boye (Susan), Michael P. Boye, and Rory A. Boye; grandchildren Sean M. Boye (Melissa), Christopher M. Boye (Darcy), Theresa B. Hamrick (Jason), Michael A. Boye, Stephen P. Boye, and Christina B. Cross (Jeff); and great-grandchildren Jack Cross, Lily Cross, Kaden Boye, Kai Boye, Allison Boye, Preston Boye, Nathan Hamrick, Elliot Boye, Eric Hamrick, Ryan Hamrick, and Cody Hamrick.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Gretchen Ulfers and the Staff at St. Joseph Hospice, Carpenter House.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, followed by a memorial mass at 12:00 PM, and an interment thereafter at Metairie Cemetery.
