Marco Antonio Cottone

Marco Antonio Cottone, a resident of LaPlace, LA.. passed away at his home on July 13, 2014. Age 57, he was born in Tela, Honduras. His family moved to New Orleans where he lived and attended school. Graduate of De La Salle High School, Class of 1974, and attended Loyola University, where he was a member of BEGGARS Fraternity. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen Dolese Cottone (Toots), his daughter Stephanie Cottone Strain, son Christopher C. Cottone, son-in-law Matthew W. Strain, and his beloved grandchildren Luke Strain and Cecilia Strain. Also survived by his dear sister Mireya Cottone Modinger, nephew Alex Modinger and niece Michelle Modinger Davis and his beloved mother-in-law Irene (Gloria) Dolese, his brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Carlos W. Cottone, his dearest mother Melida Cottone Barrientos, and stepfather Carlos Barrientos. He was employed by Riverland’s Chrysler-Jeep in LaPlace, LA. Marco knew no enemies or strangers and was loved by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA. 70124 on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
