"Pop" was a family man and a body and fender technician. In addition to spending time with his family, working at the shop, and boating on the Lakefront, he loved to fish, ride dirt bikes, and feed the ducks. He loved animals, prefered shorts and Ts, and enjoyed drinking beer with family and friends. He was a gentle, kind soul, and will be dearly, dearly missed by many.
Louis is survived by his children Louis Cochran, Jr., Johnny Cochran, Troy Cochran (Shelley), Angelle Pastorello (Mark), Blake Taylor (Pam), Candice Schmidt (Greg), Kecia WIlliams (Alan), Christiane Anthony (Norm), Jason Taylor, and Lyle Dowdy (Ann); grandchildren Michael (Amanda), Brianna, Brooke, Patrick, Jordan (Tess), Dru, Drake, Brent, Blake, Jr., Kaylind, and Kylie; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings Earl Cochran (Jean) and Ellen Dauzat (Tallas). He was preceded in death by his spouse Rosalind Cochran; ex-spouse and mother to his sons Shirley Bardy; parents Gertrude and John Bauder; father William Cochran; siblings Madelyn Cochran, Buddy Cochran, Anne Cochran, and Gertrude Cochran.
A visitation for Louis will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, with interment thereafter at All Saints Mausoleum.
