Lorraine Domingo Babin

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Genevieve Meteye Domingo; her beloved husband for 32 years, Theodore Adam Babin; her son, Theodore N. Babin (Cecilia); her sisters, Dolores Domingo and Audrey Roger (Morris); and her brother, Rudolph Domingo (Bobbie).

She is survived by her children, Linda M. Babin Dill (Jeffrey), Glenda A. Babin Montreuil (Donald), and Richard J. Babin; six grandchildren, Amiee M. Dill (Jennifer), Christine M. Dill Cottrell, Melissa A. Montreuil, Sean M. Montreuil, Cassie Babin, and Brittany Babin; great grandchildren, Genevieve L. Cottrell, Kailey E. Guttierrez, Jackson T. Berry, Brennen J. Toledo, Khloe M. Toledo, and Claire P. Hebert.

Lorraine was employed by Jefferson Parish School Board for over 40 years. As a school bus driver, her joy was the fourteen years of driving handicapped children to school and special outings during the day.

She was a member of the Airline Lioness Club, a rider in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and enjoyed cooking, playing Po-Kino with the girls, and dancing.

She will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for her “Joie de vivre!”

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 12:00PM. A visitation will take place at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park.
