Laurence Backus Weaver, Jr., age 58 years, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Beloved son of the late Laurence Backus Weaver, Sr. and Valerie Walton Weaver. Loving brother of Susan Weaver Bernard and husband Bruce E. Bernard. Uncle of Dr. Laurie Bernard Stover (Ryan) and Becky Bernard Stuempfig (Jason). Great uncle of Avery Stover, Charlie Stover, Henry Stuempfig, and Noah Stuempfig. Mr. Weaver was a graduate from Brother Martin High School in New Orleans and also received his Associate’s Degree from Louisiana Vocational Technical College. He retired as an Inspector for the New Orleans Sewage and Water Board. He was an expert collector and lifelong admirer of Bob Dylan music. All services are being held privately.
