June Stevens Brown

Beloved wife of 22 years to the late Patrick “Terry” Brown. Daughter of Theodore Stevens and Vivian Taylor Stevens. Loving mother of Laurie Brown, Shannon Brown Hattier and Timothy Brown. Mother in law of David Hattier. Sister of Myrl Stutson. Adoring grandmother of Chloee Magner and Brayden Hattier. Aunt of Cynthia Aleman, Sharron Aleman and the late Steven Aleman.

Also survived by 46 nieces and nephews.

June attended St. Joseph Academy and Loyola University. She had the same 7 friends (like sisters); since grade school they played cards once a week until a few years ago. They experienced dating, weddings, children, grandchildren, as well as their grandchildrens’ weddings together.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home located at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Prayers will be said in June’s honor beginning at 1:40 PM followed by words of remembrance and Mass beginning at 2:00 PM.
