Joyce Ann "Mimi" Walter Steib

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Henry J. Steib; parents, Martin and Marion Walter, grandchildren, Brandon Steib, and Michelle Levine.

She is survived by her children, Henry Steib, Jr. (Tracey), Danny Steib (Cindy), Marion Levine (Bob) and Terri Steib Puglia; grandchildren, Martin Steib, Robert Levine, Casie Banquer (Jeff), Nina Puglia L’Hoste, Chris Levine, Megan Cleighton (Tim), Danielle Spotts-Orgeron (Tyler), and Scarlett Dottolo; and great grandchildren, Gavin, Grace, Perrin, Zoey, Preston, Jaxon, Brandon, Jr., and Emmett.

Joyce was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was an artist who painted the most beautiful flowers on china and even poured and painted her own dolls. She loved gifting her artwork to family and friends. She was an outstanding cook and liked trying new dishes she learned by watching her favorite cooking shows. She would share her recipes, but the difference that made her’s better was her secret ingredient, making it with “love” for her family. Joyce and her husband were longtime parishioners of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Gardens Dr in Metairie, LA, on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment is private.
