Joseph Raymond Francis Jr.

Joseph Raymond Francis, Jr, age 79, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Beloved husband of over 50 years to Gloria Robichaux Francis. Son of the late Joseph Raymond Francis and Agatha Babin Francis. Loving father of Ann E. Francis and Joseph Raymond Francis, III (Jennifer). Brother of Evelyn Rieffel (Maurice), Clarence S. Francis (Janice), Carol Francis and Elmo Francis (Cindy). Adoring grandfather of Jeremy, Luke, Elizabeth, Sydney, Aron, Emily and Caylen.

He was a 1955 graduate of Holy Cross and received his bachelors degree in accounting from ULL in 1961. Joseph was an employee of Delta Steam Ship Lines, Rheem Manufacturing and Bayou Steel.

He was a member/officer of the National Association of Accountants and a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Saint Joan of Arc Parish.

A true Holy Cross man, Joseph was a loving and supportive husband and father. He cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
