John "Jack" Archer

John “Jack” Archer, III passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 77. Jack was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 15, 1946, to the late John Joseph Archer, Jr. and Thelma Englert Archer. He is also preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 46 years, Anna Martin Archer; their son Christian Archer and grandson Otis Archer.

Jack is survived by his children Charlotte and Ben Wallace, Colette and Greg Salter, and extended family Mary Collins. He will forever be known as Pops to his grandchildren Olivia and Joseph Wallace; Dakota, Cheyenne, and Savannah Salter; Elijah and Lorelei Lingle; McKenzie Chila and Mia and Harper Collins. Jack is also survived by his siblings Mary A. Bourg (the late Robert), Judelyn A. Graffagnini (William), Catherine A. Denny (Thomas), and Christy A. Gab (Wayne) as well as many nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Jack.

Jack graduated from De La Salle High School in New Orleans and went on to honorably serve in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

John Joseph Archer, III was a great man who loved God, his family, his friends, and all stray animals.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 9:00 am. Interment will follow the service in Metairie Cemetery.
