Jennifer Lynne Dawson

Jennifer studied at Loyola and earned her degree from The University of West Florida. She worked as a daycare assistant and was very active in the care of children and senior citizens. Jennifer was very vibrant and loved nature. She was an outdoor enthusiast and devoted Saints fan. Her happiest times were spent at the beach. She also loved walking with her dogs Jackson, Yogi and Sampson.

Daughter of Lorraine R. Dawson and Donald M. Durkin.

Grand daughter of Hazel Frey Dawson, Harry A. Dawson Sr., Johnnie Mae and Donald J. Durkin.

Niece of Steve Durkin, David Dawson, Michael and Anne Dawson, Harriet and Paul Haworth, Bridget Dawson, Gretchen Dawson and Paul Martin, Jim Steffien, Leslie Dawson, Larry Konermann, and the late Mary Lynn Steffien, H. Andrew Dawson, Jr. and Ann Konermann.

Cousin of Victoria, Jessica, H. Andrew III, Elizabeth, Ivan, Bryant, Laura, Mark, Allen, Donald, Joan, Jesse, Daniel, David, Tamara, Tasha, and the late Travis.

Services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. Visitation for immediate family will be from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. Visitation for friends will begin at 9:30 am with a funeral mass at 11 am on Monday, January 21, 2019. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
