He was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana and moved to New Orleans after leaving the Army in 1957.
He obtained his Associates Degree in Engineering and was an Operating Engineer for most of his career.
His hobbies, interests, and loves included: “Coffee!! Coffee!!”, rocking in rocking chairs, reading, cooking and listening to music, amassing a vast knowledge of vitamins, supplements and nutrition, collecting coins and stamps, all dogs and cats and going to the movies.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nanie Belle “Bobbie” Pinson and Jack B. St. Cyr, Sr., as well as by his, “Old Ma” and “Old Pa” who raised him after his Mother passed away. His sisters, Nancy S. Werther and Elaine S. Wood also preceded him in death.
He will be greatly missed and survived by his daughters: Amy St. Cyr Rigamer (spouse, Robert), Jill St. Cyr Schroder and Lisa St. Cyr Burke; his grandchildren: Ryan Goodrich (spouse, Sarah) and Cody Cobble; his great grandchildren: Jessie and Erica Goodrich and Londyn and Oakley Cobble. Last, but not least, by his beloved dog Max.
