Jack Olin Bryant and his family resided in Jefferson Parish in “MANY HOMES”, he built, bought and sold as a General Contractor. The ultimate dealmaker, he once bartered a surgery for a carport. ‘The Jack of All Trades’ always proclaimed, “Everything is for sale, except my family.” Jack loved all LSU sports, traveling abroad, hitting the road in his RV and family gatherings. He built “The Happy Camper” in Grand Isle – which he shared and enjoyed with family and friends for 50 years. He has been described as a giant with big arms, who took care of everyone.
In his retirement, Jack and his side-kick Malcolm were put back to work by his sons, delivering materials, checking on jobs, etc. Although these two rarely agreed on ANYTHING, they loved each other deeply. One of Jack’s statements throughout life was, “the best thing he built, was his family.”
