Iolanda Emilia Ranzino Tumminello passed away on May 12, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born on February 12, 1933 in Cefalu, Sicily and migrated to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1972 with her husband and two young children. Iolanda, was preceded in death by her husband, Antonino (Nino) Tumminello of Cefalu, Sicily; her parents, Giuseppa Distefano Ranzino and Gaetano Cosimo Ranzino both of Cefalu, Sicily; her sisters, Rosina Ranzino and Angela Ranzino both of Cefalu, Sicily; and her brothers, Antonino Ranzino, Salvatore Ranzino, Nunzio Ranzino, and Giovanni Ranzino all of Cefalu, Sicily.
She is survived by her children, Laura Tumminello and Pasquale Tumminello both of Cefalu, Sicily; her siblings, Elvira Ranzino and Giuseppe “Benito” Ranzino both of Cefalu, Sicily; her grandsons, Anthony “Nino” Tumminello (Anna), Steven Tumminello, and Gary Waguespack, Jr. She additionally leaves behind 22 nieces and nephews, 28 great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces and nephews.
A private interment will take place at Lake Lawn Park.
