Helen Houin D'Amico

Helen Houin D’Amico passed away on to her eternal rest on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Salvador J. D’Amico, Sr. for 66 years. She is survived by her two loving sons and their spouses, Salvador J. D’Amico, Jr. (Debbie) and Michael J. D’Amico (Patti); two grandchildren, Salvador J. “Jean” D’Amico III (Kristin) and Jessica D’Amico Hendrix (Jonathan) and two great grandchildren, Maxwell Pierce D’Amico and Hunter Grace D’Amico. Helen is also preceded in death by her parents Henry L. Houin, Sr. and Carmen Raymond Houin; siblings Henry L. Houin, Jr., Lucille Houin Valeton, Gloria Houin Sandoz and Carmen Houin. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy, New Orleans. Helen retired from the Jefferson Parish Public School System and Delta Airlines. She was a member of the Republican Woman’s Club of Jefferson Parish, East Jefferson Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, AARP Central Metairie #4417, Sharing Program at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a parishioner of St. Ann Church and Shrine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, July 22, 2022 beginning at 9:00am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00am. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
