Hawkins B. Wheeler

Hawkins Birding "H.B." Wheeler, age 96, was born January 10, 1916 in Providence, Kentucky. He died July 5, 2012 at Walden HealthCare. Beloved husband of the late Leona K. Wheeler, son of the late Theodore and Fanny Wheeler, brother of the late Chester, Wellner, Fred, McCormick and Frances Wheeler, father of Frances Wheeler Templet and Norma Wheeler Fletcher, grandfather of Christine Lea Fletcher and the late Wendy Lea Fletcher. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Hawkins was a resident of New Orleans for many years; long time member of Central Baptist Church and Lakeview Baptist Church. He was retired from McCann Electronics. A faithful Follower of Christ. Thanks to Walden HealthCare and Hospice and to all who visited and took care of him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Jacob Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. on Tuesday July 10 at 12 Noon. Visitation will begin at 10am until service time. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, St. Rose, LA.
