Sonny is survived by his wife Jacquelyn Watson Worthy; daughter Chavis T. Worthy; sister Anne B. Avery as well as Sherman Thompson and Susan Gillespie, Dianne and Ferdinand Smith, Linda and Herman Johnson, Brenda Watson, Kim Brock and a host of nieces, nephews, coworkers and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Luticha Lamkin Worthy and Gilbert Worthy Jr. and brother Willie Robinson.
Sonny graduated from Southern University, New Orleans. He was a psychiatric family counselor for River Oaks Hospital for over 42 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Tuesday February 20, 2018 at 12:00pm. Visitation beginning 10:00am. Interment will follow the service in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/ in his memory.
