Genevieve Charlot Brown, the beloved wife of the Albert Brown, passed peacefully away on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the age of 93. She was born in Opelousas, LA on February 4, 1924 to the late Rudolph and Emma B. Charlot. Eight sisters and four brothers also precede her in death.
Her daughter, Frieda Brown; son, Arthur Brown; grandson Jaja; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews survive Genevieve.
Genevieve was a devout and faithful parishioner of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Trumpeters. She was also an active member of the Gentilly/Pontchartrain Park Senior Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 5029 Louisa Dr., New Orleans, LA 70126 on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00am. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Louis Number 3 Cemetery.
