Edna Douglas Colton passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 21, 2022 at the age of 100. She was born in New Orleans on September 19, 1921. She was preceded in death by her parents Edna Prudhomme Douglas and August Hoffman Douglas, her beloved husband of 45 years Edwin T." Eddie" Colton II , her siblings Carol Douglas Elder, August Hoffman "Doug" Douglas, Jr. and her granddaughter Courtney Colton Pedersen. She is survived by her loving children, Ann Colton Reynolds (Newt), Edith "Dee" Colton Eustis (Ernie), Lynn Colton Pedersen (Lars), Edwin T. " Ed" Colton, III (Susan).Edna will always be remembered for her beautiful seafoam green colored eyes, her love for her family, her many friends young and old, her stylish ways and most importantly her devotion to her Catholic faith. NaNa, as she was affectionally called, enthusiastically attended every event in the lives of not just her children, but also her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved by her grandchildren: Wendy Geary (Clay), Brett Reynolds (Sallye), Colleen McLeod (Marty), Lauren Davis (Alan), Curtis Eustis (Celeste), Clay Colton (Ginger), Todd Pedersen, Clare Lasiter (Walker), and Scott Pedersen (Kelly). Her great-grandchildren: Libby Philips (Michael), Courtney Geary, Cooke Geary, Stephen Reynolds, Jack Reynolds, Walker Reynolds, Elle McLeod, Gigi McLeod, Coco McLeod, Colton Davis, Peyton Davis, Parker Davis, C.C. Eustis, Collins Eustis, Clayton Eustis, Olivia Colton and Rhodes Colton. She is also survived by her niece and godchild Shawn Douglas Wall, nephews Stewart Douglas and Stephen Douglas. Edna was a lifetime member of the Orleans Club, Le Petit Salon and past member of the New Orleans Country Club and Southern Yacht Club. She was an avid reader and loved playing bridge. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her to live life to the fullest! The family would like to thank all of the thoughtful caretakers at the Chateau de Notre Dame. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, Friday, January 28, 2022 at noon. Visitation from 10:30 until noon.
