Earl Lloyd Jacob III

Earl Lloyd Jacob, III passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2024, to join our heavenly father. Earl was a native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Metairie. He was born on October 20, 1955, to Earl Lloyd Jacob Jr. and Patricia Foster Jacob. He is now reunited with his father Earl Lloyd Jacob Jr., who paved the path of life that Earl so joyfully embraced. He is lovingly survived by his devoted mother, Patricia Foster Jacob. He leaves behind his siblings, Debbie Bordenave (Richard), Kirk Jacob (Vicky), Greg Jacob (Stacey). Additionally, he took pride being the uncle to Brian Bordenave (Lauren), Scott Bordenave, Shelby Jacob, Kirk Jacob Jr., Megan Jacob (Chad), Danielle Jacob and great uncle to Olivia, Ella, Drew, Sloan and Hudson - an honorary title that he cherished deeply.

Earl loved his family, he enjoyed cooking, meeting up with lifelong friends, playing games and was a movie buff, genuinely a good person. He is a Rummel graduate of 1975 and served in the U.S. Navy. Earl worked for Gerhardts for many years and retired from Home Depot.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation from 9:00 am until memorial mass at 10:00 am. Inurnment will immediately follow at the Metairie Cemetery.
