Dolores Richard “Tee” passed away peacefully in her home on April 19, 2022. She would proudly say she was 94. Dolores was born in Plaquemine, Louisiana, to the late Claude and Eula Matherne. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Martin Wallace Richard; her son, Martin Wallace Richard II; and her sisters, Dorothy Matherne Trosclair and Grace Matherne Mire.
She is survived by her daughter, Mardel Richard Kuebel (Kenneth); her sister, Anne Matherne Godi; her granddaughter, Brittany Hogan Ford (Harrison); and her great grandchildren, Wallace Penn Ford, Ivy Evangeline Ford, and Ames Hogan Ford. Dolores is also loved by her extended family, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dolores was an active member in Saint Philip Neri Church and the Texaco ladies geophysical Auxiliary.
Dolores met Martin at LSU and supported his ventures in the Oil and Gas Industry. They loved LSU Football and never missed a football game. She loved and cared for her family and extended family. She also enjoyed her home and garden, and especially loved pink flowers.
Mardel would like to give special thanks to her mother’s wonderful caregivers: Thelma, Gaynell, Connie, Gilda, Alice and Josephina. We are grateful for the loving care Mom received. We love and considered each of them family.
Mardel also wants to thank Notre Dame Hospice who took charge and provided all of her final needs. Truly, Notre Dame Hospice made the family so at ease knowing the best was being provided for Tee.
