Constant Joseph “C.J.” Probst, Jr. passed away on October 5, 2024 at the age of 80. He was born in New Orleans on December 26, 1943. While earning his Master’s Degree of Science from the University of Southeastern Louisiana, he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Following graduation, he became a biology professor. In his free time, he liked to trade and deal rare coins. His interest in coin collecting led to him become the owner of Louisiana Gold and Silver in Metairie.
He is survived by his brother, Robert J. “Bob” Probst (Lyn)
C.J. was preceded in death by his parents, Constant J. Probst, Sr., and Eva Lannes Probst.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mr. Bob Reed, Dr. Oliver Whitney, Dr. Joe Acercion, and Bob and Ruby McElveen.
Constant will be privately laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
